How about looking for a replacement Li-ION battery pack for some other
battery powered unit that uses the same size and chopping it open? Look at
the latest video camera/camcorder catalogs for starters. Call a
pro/industrial battery distributor and ask; I have had luck doing it that
way meeting with a 1:10 scale RC car racing nerd. Are the ones in the L50
pack marked in any way?
An eventual candidate will probably have 3 batteries side by side, be a few
mm thicker because of the plastic cover and be 10 V +.
Seems a waste to throw it away, how much would it cost you to send it
cheaply to Oslo, Norway? :-)
