After my Lib 100 battery recently died, I opened the case up by using a
1/4" wide screw driver. Pry it a little at a time along the seam.
There is some double sided tape between the batteries and the case, so it
makes some horrible breaking sounds as you pry it open, but when I did it
anyway the whole unit was undamaged when I was done and it still snaps
backtogether
just fine.
Inside were 6 Lithium-ion batteries that are slightly larger in diameter
than a AA,
and about 1/2" longer.
I ordered a replacement battery directly from Toshiba-USA and received it
in less
than a week.
