Subject: Ghosting Libretto drive??
OK, how do I Ghost a drive that is currently in the Libretto to something
external?
If I boot off of a Ghost disk, the PCMCIA socket isn't enabled (I haven't
found DOS PCMCIA drivers for Libretto anywhere), so I can't run it across
the network (not even sure if the Ghost included with Norton Systemworks
2001 does Ethernet anyways), and I can't plug the new HD into the PCMCIA
slot either.
I know I can get a 2.5-3.5" adapter, yank the HD out of the Libretto, put
it in my work machine, Ghost partition images to my work HD, shut it down,
swap the new 2.5" HD into the adapter, start the computer and transfer the
image, but is there an easier way?
Use LPT and let it run overnight each time (from old HD to home system,
from home system to new HD), and if so, will it handle it OK with NT being
on the home system? Has anyone done it via LPT, and if so, about how long
did it take per Gig?
Do I have to set the new HD up in the Libretto first, formatting it with
the IBM overlay (and Partition Magic, since I have it), then ghost
partitions across?
