George;
IMHO a clean install works best, this would be one in which you
reformat your hard drive and reinstall everything. How you go about
this depends to a large extent on what equipment you have. What you
need is a CD drive that has a point enabler, not all CD drives do. As
to getting files, I would go to the Toshiba web site and download
everything pertaining to Win98. Check both the 100 and the 110 files
some or listed under just one or the other. If you have not already I
would first flash the Bios to the Win98/2000 version. Also under the
FAQ you will find instruction on how to install win98, read them
first.

still original install of Win95. But it appears I have a rogue file on
the system causing conflict with Outlook 2000 which I installed last
weekend. I really need this program but certain actions (e.g.
importing address books) cause an illegal operation in the program
resulting in shutdown of Outlook 2000 - the error detail points to an
<unknown module> every time. The general consensus of my colleagues is
that Win95 may be the problem - the consensus of others that a rogue
file from an old program (or possibly current one) is at fault. In
summary I am considering Windows 98 (release version 2) for my
Libretto as may be Win95 may be simply not man enough for more modern
programs like Outlook 2000.

(i.e. is there a Toshiba version which includes special utilities for
the Libretto??) or do I obtain a normal copy (cd rom?) and use
existing Tosh Utility discs?? (I have Win95 floppies as supplied with
the Libretto when new).

never had to format and install an operating system before and feel
daunted by the prospect. Is it possible to install from cd rom - i.e.
do I have to get a copy of 98 on floppies??
