Subject: Re: Need to reinstall Windows to Libretto 100CT

OK... so what little data I want to preserve I can copy to floppies at present...

I go to Tosh site as you say and download all 98 utilities for the 100CT (I presume
these files are small enough to be accommodated on floppies...)

I purchase a full version Win98 SE cd

I then format the whole hard-drive (I presume I can find the instructions for this in
my Libretto handbook)

(At what stage do I modifiy the BIOS and how do I do it?? - is this downloadable at
Tosh site? Do I do it before or after cleaning the drive?)

I presume Win98 cd is supplied with a start-up disk so boot up on that?

My external cd rom drive could be detectable at this stage?

Follow install instructions off the 98cd rom then install the utilities via floppy??

----I do not wish to sound stupid here but I have NEVER had to reinstall an operating
system let alone on a lap-top that does not have a built-in cd rom drive. Incidentally
the cd rom uses the standard IDE Hard Disk Controller as its driver.
