I am just a regular user that has been faced with the sort of problem that you
have.

My advice would be to start with the floppies for Windows 95 that came with the
Libretto and buy a regular upgrade CD Rom to 98 and then install that from CD
Rom.

There are probably many other solutions, much more complicated, but that is the
one that this layman would choose.

The reason I would go this route is because the original floppies would contain
the drivers a Libretto requires, for example the special dimensions of the
screen, whereas any regular version of Windows in my experience would not.

Don't think about upgrading to ME. I tried that and it was a complete mess and
took me a week to sort out and get back to Windows 98 that I had originally
installed in my 110CT.

Subject: Need to reinstall Windows to Libretto 100CT
Since new my Lib has been trouble-free - i.e. no fatal crashes and still
original install of Win95. But it appears I have a rogue file on the system
causing
conflict with Outlook 2000 which I installed last weekend. I really need this
program but certain actions (e.g. importing address books) cause an illegal
operation in the program resulting in shutdown of Outlook 2000 - the error
detail
points to an <unknown module> every time. The general consensus of my
colleagues
is that Win95 may be the problem - the consensus of others that a rogue file
from an old program (or possibly current one) is at fault. In summary I am
considering Windows 98 (release version 2) for my Libretto as may be Win95 may
be
simply not man enough for more modern programs like Outlook 2000.
I need to know where I can get a copy suitable for the Libretto (i.e. is there
a Toshiba version which includes special utilities for the Libretto??) or do I
obtain a normal copy (cd rom?) and use existing Tosh Utility discs?? (I have
Win95 floppies as supplied with the Libretto when new).
Can someone please advise how I go about installing Win98 as I have never had
to format and install an operating system before and feel daunted by the
prospect. Is it possible to install from cd rom - i.e. do I have to get a copy
of 98
on floppies??Please help.GW
