I think everyone who can possibly get offended left this group months
ago...those of us who are still here have skins thicker than hippos! (but I

Some yes, some no. Switch mode adaptors are the best, but they're usually
set to 12v rather than 15v.

That runs around the same on mine. I think there is some variance with
component differences. The capacitor kicker (rather than the extra battery)
runs fine for this. I think in general, a 12v lead acid cell will run the
lib but won't charge it without the charging voltage (for the lead acid
cell) being present.

Seriously John, I haven't been aiming anything at you, and I don't believe
the other guys have. There's just a natural concern that people new to the
machine and with less expertise than you or I might toast their lib without
considering the risks.
