Eric,
The thing (on a 50, can't be sure for the 100) is that the reset key doesn't
always work. I believe it to be a soft switch, rather than something
actually across a reset line.
If your machine has saved garbage as a hibernation image, you may be able to
bypass the unhibernate by starting with the 'H' key (I think, may be the
backspace key - try a search of the archives) to start clean.
