Hi Brian, How did you connect the two systems to ONE internet connection? Im trying to do this already for quite some time, and I didn't succeed. The problem is, that my cablemodem talks TCP/IP to my laptop-1 over a SERIAL connection. I want internet-connectivity on another laptop (laptop-2) by connecting laptop-2 to laptop-1 using the NIC's available in both laptops, via a hub. Problem is that all those programs (SyGate, WinGate, WinRoute) need TWO nic's in laptop-1. But the problem is that I want the two laptops interconnected via nics, and laptop-1 connected to the internet via the serial port. Unfortunately all these programs never talk about a serial connection to the Net. There is a possibility to put two nics in one laptop, but I cannot connect to the Net via a lAN cable. I have a SERIAL modem.... What I need is a program/utility, that makes one laptop into a kind of LAN-server, where any other connected system can reach the serial Internet connection using one of the hub lan connectors. Anyone???
