OK better clarify a few points before someone again reserves the right to abuse me ;-)

OK those of you going to Winroute's site are probably thinking "Umm ... isn't it
shareware?" ... versions of Winroute 3.xx and below had a 'Lite' version which WAS
proper freeware. They changed that in 4.xx and above so the 'Lite' version now expires
in 30 days. As far as I know however they haven't revoked the freeware licence on 3.xx
or below (and I did enter my email address when I downloaded it and I've not recieved
anything to that effect) so to my knowledge its kosher ;-)

>I know it sounds funny but YES this computer IS accessing the full Internet (IRC/web
>browsing/telnet/ping/tracert) through the >parallel port

Again, those of you visiting the Winroute site may be thinking "Umm ... thats a
feature of Winroute". That feature only actually came about at version 4.xx and after
- the parallel port TCP/IP sharing I'm talking about is built into Windows 2000 and
somehow Windows 95 knows how to talk to it. Certainly its not officially possible -
even Microsoft's support site says its impossible but somehow it works (and its
independant of the NAT/sharing, remember my 2k box doesn't have any sharing plus the
Libretto can see all other computers on my local network that have IP addresses). For
some strange reason though I can't actually use Microsoft File and Print sharing
between my Libretto and my 2k box (the 2 computers either side of the parallel cable).
I'm still trying to figure out why (I'm not trying TOO hard though, I found that file
transfers chug the processor on my workstation like crazy ... I'm working on seeing if
I can get a null modem connection to the NT server and treating that as a second RAS
line ...)

Anyways ... I'm still trying to figure out why I write so much per post ... if someone
ever finds out do tell me ... hehe
