Hmmm.... When I installed my 6.6GB HDD I didn't have any problems at all transferring the FDD boot files to the HDD, modifying autoexec.bat to load mscdex.exe, and config.sys to load the CD-ROM driver, then booting right from the HDD with the CD-ROM plugged in, and installing W98 from a CD. Guess I was lucky. I just thought that if it was as easy to get the EPR recognized, I'd try booting from a floppy plugged into the L70, and install W98 from the CD-ROM drive plugged into the EPR. But as I'm looking at reinstalling W98 from my existing HDD, I guess I'll just copy the W98 installation directory from the Windows CD to the HDD, delete everything else on the HDD except C:\Windows, boot from a floppy, 'deltree C:\Windows', and CD\Win98 and run setup.exe.
