I recently received a Toshiba Portege 3110. It is larger than my Lib50 but the screen is so much easier for my older eyes to see. It came with the Toshiba authorized DVD drive that uses a PCMCIA card for the interface. I am trying to play a movie on it,but it has the occasional jitter and dropped audio. It has the max RAM (192 meg) and a 300 mhz processor. Is there a player that is more efficient than the others? Is there anything I can do, other than making the picture size smaller, to make it all play smoothly? (I do not think I am ready to tackle Linux just yet) I know this is (slightly) off topic, but it is a Toshiba, right? And you guys are some of the most savvy people I know. ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://libretto.basiclink.com/archive - Archives http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/portable/faq.html - FAQ -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
