I don't think Apple ever manufactured hard drives. Although the info on iPod's HDD 
looks hidden, I suppose it has Toshiba's (Kingston? If it's again any different from 
Toshiba...) HDD inside. iPod's price (~$400) in this case seems quite low as 1.8" 5GB 
HDDs are something like ~ $350... Still a lot of money, however :).
