I'm assuming you mean the AC adapter for the L100/L110 (ie. the PA2501UE)? The L50/L70 use the PA2500UE which I believe is quite incompatible. The reason I make the distinction is because both the L100/L110 and the Portege 3110CT use a small square plug to make the power connection - I'm surprised you can't get the Libretto 100/110 adapter fitting into the Portege. If you're CERTAIN the voltage is correct, perhaps http://www.fixup.net/tips/l100/l100plug.htm might be able to give you some ideas ...
