I think this is a Msgsrv32 problem - have you recently "upgraded" one of the Microsoft "Messenger" flavours, or installed the MSN Explorer, or anything similar which involves new Microsoft software which requires an Internet connection? Check to see if Msgsrv32 is running now - I'll bet it's there when you boot (and it wasn't before). Try Ctrl+Alt+Del *before* you do the hibernate thing, and zap Msgsrv32, then check to see it doesn't re-start itself, then hibernate, and see if the problem goes away. I removed it completely, can't remember exactly how (it wasn't immediately obvious but it wasn't all that difficult either) however if the above works for you, I'll figure it out and let you know. > Is anyone successfully running IBM DM and W98se on a L100CT, and getting > hibernation to work properly?
