No, this is a straight-off-the-CDROM W98se install, only 2 days old, which went perfectly, even installation of the Libretto utilities and such. I have not even installed my ISP dialer yet, so no MS downloads. Prior to hibernating, ctrl-alt-del brings up the Close Program box which does not contain Msgsrv32 - that only appears after resuming from hibernation, in the Close Program box when I ctr-alt-del to unhang W98. Another piece of relevant information is that hibernation/resume works perfectly in DOS with Disk Manager running, but fails catastrophically in either Safe Mode, or after exiting to DOS from Windows. I'm running out of things to try. What is Msgsrv32, is it needed, and if not, how do I get rid of it?
