I knew I'd wake up some early morning hour and get back to some posts from 4
days back. "4 days" ... that's at least 5 eons in cyberspace time isn't
it?

Wait there... I'm surprised this went by on the list with generating a
question in reply... You rolled your car three times!? You must have
cracked more than just your Libby's screen! What happened to YOU?

>that I bought 3 more on Ebay to take its place,

Heh... nothing better to lift your spirits after a major car crash than
going out and buying up a passel of them cute little Librettos!

You did say "3" ... didn't you?

>then bought an L3 just to be sure.

I certainly would have done the same thing in your place.

They probably use the plastic bits to digest food. Did it get one of the
three Librettos?

>and my son cracked the case a few weeks ago, just cosmetic stuff.

Was that the case for HIS one of the three librettos? What a Mom!

>From what I gather from your other posts, it's not so much the Dell that's
giving you problems as it's the XP installation ... and the dance it's
doing with the Dell's hardware. Well... I guess Dell is ultimately
responsible. But I must say... I still think Dells and Gateways are good
deals for most non-tech savvy computer buyers for what seems to be their
fairly above-par technical support alone. Though my brother once had a
brain-dead Gateway tech support rep have him intsall a SECOND copy of Win3.1
to his HDD at C:\Windows2 that blew everything to pieces for months. And it
seems Dell is no longer offering lifetime tech support like Gateway
continues to do.

>Will let you know about the L3 <

It'll be interesting to hear your reports Renita. Guess no one has bitten
the line dangling that Fujistu yet. I'd be tempted in another year when
they appear used on EBay. Though I say that about L110s too. Hecks... the
more toys the merrier! It's what fuels our economy anyway, isn't it? I'm
just doing my bit. :-)

>(am going boarding for a few days and can't get it till I come back).<

Boarding! You DO sound like a fellow N CA compatriot! I really miss my
little niche down in S.C..

Matt
