I have not tried to put 18x64 mm cells in the battery because I only have 5 of them, but 17 mm seemed a tight fit. There is sticky tap in my battery, but it is not foamy and very thin. I will try to replace the cells just to see if they will fit. Also I am a little sceptical about 2000 mAh claim.
