I assume by blag you mean secretly remove bits and pieces from your L70 to
put into her L50 ... I guess I'm lucky none of the parts in my L100 are
compatible with what is now my sister's L50 ... hehe

Geezzz ... how come computing equipment is sooo much cheaper anywhere
EXCEPT for Australia? *sigh* ... looks like I'll be on a shopping spree
when I eventually go to the US ...

It's ridiculous, they DO sell a Satellite 5xxx series laptop here but even
if I were to buy a return ticket to the US AND purchase the equivalent
laptop there AND pay all the import taxes that people tend to avoid AND
take into account my lost productivity whilst I was doing that, I'd STILL
come out on top compared to buying that same laptop at the recommend retail
price here ... not that I have the money to do either ... *sigh*

Well ya it is a bit brick-ish but then again it IS a desktop replacement
and not a Libby replacement (not that ANYTHING is a Libby replacement) ...
when I had my Portege, I quite like how when you carried it round in a
laptop bag, you put it in the OUTSIDE pocket (the one you normally put your
charger or CDs or whatnot, it was still pretty well padded) and put another
(full sized) laptop or your papers and files INSIDE the laptop compartment
.... it really is a TRUE notebook computer (in which case you could probably
call the Libby a paperback novel computer?).
