I have a couple condenser mics which work quite well, but they're much too large to pack along on trips. The small size of the Libretto sets a high standard for ancillary equipment! I hope to find something small that is at least a decent compromise of size and performance. I think a small wide-field mic would be optimal in that the recording challenge would be things like church bells or other sounds at a distance. If anyone has tested specifc mics, I'd enjoy reading about it. Testing high-quality mics is an expensive proposition!
