I too tried to put XP on my L100 (with 64 Meg) finaly sure sence and gave up, went back to Win2K Nice Idea... but don't go down that dark path.. -----Original Message----- From: Lawrence Young [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 04 December 2002 18:21 To: Libretto Subject: Re: [LIB] Win XP Date: Wed, 4 Dec 2002 13:21:43 -0500 From: "Lawrence Young" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [LIB] Win XP Win2K runs like a pig on 32MB too. First upgrade to 64MB on your L100. Then, install Win2k not WinXP. Your processor is too slow for XP (P2-300MHz minimum) even if you have enough memory. Besides, win2k with the latest service pack (SP3) is more stable than XP. Also, make sure your L100 has latest BIOS (8.00 or later) before you install win2000. ----- Original Message ----- From: "brett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Libretto" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 1:09 PM Subject: Re: [LIB] Win XP Date: Thu, 05 Dec 2002 03:07:47 +0900 From: brett <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [LIB] Win XP Hi John, I think XP runs like a pig on anything less than 128MB... on 32MB try win2K ? -Brett ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
