If the HDD is 9.5mm (9.2, 9.4?? I think that's the minimum size for all large drives these days), then yes. You'll need to remove the spacers to get it to fit in a 50CT. You'll also need drive overlay software to deal with the 8MB BIOS boundry problem, and you'll have to set up a small partition at that boundry to deal with the Windows swap file issue. You can find the details on the process in many posts by searching the archives here, http://www.technoir.nu/libretto/list/ or here, http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ... unless someone wants to run through it all again.

You'll need the EZBIOS overlay software. I think someone had it posted somewhere. I can send it to you iff you need.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and a very proud owner for many years of my Libretto 50CT.
However, the original hard drive is completely full to the max already. I
would like to know if I could upgrade the hard drive using a Fujitsu 20 gig
MHN2200AT replacement? Do I have to remove the plastic spacers? Will I be
able to use all the 20gig capacity (I recall a 8 gig limit or something)?
I don't mind partitioning the drive. I have no other choice since the
Toshiba laptop hard drives are not available in my area.

Many thanks in advance,

Oliver
