the heat though ... my 7200RPM desktop hard drives run pretty darn hot unless I have a fan blowing right at them ...
May be an example of the differences of development between desktop and notebook drives, and everything that draws power from limited resources. Wonder if Toshiba is even bothering with the kind of research they did on the early Libby's any more.
