> BTW, any hot tips on setting up my L100CT for dual-boot W2K and W98se? W/o using a boot manager like Boot Magic, free XOSL, etc., install W98 first, then W2K. That'll allow the system to use the W2k boot menu system (won't work the other way around). Keep everything FAT32 if you want to access the W2K files from W98se in case of emergency. There are tools that'll let you access NTFS partitions from W98SE, but usually, it becomes a pain to recover data, backup broken/damaged partitions, etc. Use NTFS if you want the password protection it offers. (actually, better to use PGP Desktop's PGP Disk feature in 8.03 instead - far more secure, IMO) Download all Toshiba drivers for the two OSs and have them on CD/HD before installing everything - makes it easier on you. Same with your modem/ethernet card drivers for both OSs. Always a pain having a non-working modem/ethernet card when you need to download the drivers for the cards on a fresh install, and no other way to get them =) Afterwards, once the base install of both OSs are fully installed with drivers and working properly, make a full backup with Symantec Ghost to ensure that you have a good, working backup copy of the setup to go back to at any time in the future. Burning them to CD-R discs is the best, with verification of the CD-R Ghost images after you burn them all. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
