I've had a 9.5mm drive fitted in my Lib50 without issues... a 4.3gb will be fine and you'll be able to use all (except for the hiberntation partition at the end of course) of the drive normally. Just partition with DOS FDISK and Robert is your fathers brother. Larger hard drives are fine too... I had a 20Gb in my Lib 50CT. It gets trickier due to the hibernation partition being around the 8gb mark but you can work around it fairly easily. For example, use DOS FDISK to create a 2Gb boot partition for Win98, then create as large a second primary partition as you can. This should create a partition upto the beginning of the hibernation partition. So, so far you should have two primary partitions, one around 2gb and the other about 5.6gb or thereabouts. Then reboot and using Partition Magic or similar tool create a 100Mb partition at the end of the second. This is a dummy partition to blank off the area for the hibernation image. Then create an extended partition and as many logical drives as you like within that. Finally delete the dummy partition, it'll only get overwritten when the computer hibernates. You can then load your OS (Win95 or 98, whatever) onto your system and you'll have a blank section of hard drive at the correct location (with a bit added over for spare but no-one seems to know exactly how big it needs to be so better safe than sorry) for hibernation. If you do it this way there is no need for any nasty overlay software and it's worked perfectly well on both my old Lib 50 and my new-ish Lib100CT. ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
