Of course it multitask :), I use my libretto mainly as remote shell (ssh2) so it doesn't tak a lot of cpu. Recently I've also managed to run Netscape 6.2 under X, it swaps heavily, but if I need to get something that I can't get with 'links' its usable :) I'm running Slackware 8.1. I had problems with Slackware 10 - many oopses preventing from installing - till now I have no idea why... It wasn't memory issue for sure. When I'll need bigger drive, I'll play with it again maybe :) >With MusicMatch v4.0 and Windows 98 on my 50 back >then, I found I could do very basic things like >compose email or do wordprocessing fairly well, unlike >similar processed running in Mandrake. Mandrake is usually HUGE, it takes much to do some tweaking, stopping not nedeed deamons etc. -- Daniel Fenert --==> [EMAIL PROTECTED] <==-- ==-P o w e r e d--b y--S l a c k w a r e-=-ICQ #37739641-== Mathematics is the only science where one never knows what one is talking about nor whether what is said is true. -- Russell =======- http://daniel.fenert.net/ -=======< +48604628083 > ************************************************************** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives -------TO UNSUBSCRIBE------- Reply to any of the list messages.
