Well OK, the lucky people in the US have had Dell give them insane deals for a while ... this is a first for Dell Australia :-D

The only laptop out prior was the Sony U50/70 series with LED backlit screen
- the only one in the world at that time.
Sorry, should have clarified ... I was referring to PDAs with LED backlights ... I haven't seen the Sony U50/70. Thing is, light from white LEDs (or at least the ones I've seen) consists of very narrow bands which is why colours of things don't look quite "right" when you use an LED torch to illuminate them (as opposed to an incandescent one). Having said that, I'm sure there's a good chance they've improved heaps ... I'll be in Japan in a few months, I can't wait to see one of these new Librettos :-D
