Those names are terrible. Current libuv stable is 0.10, next stable is 0.12. So, once 0.12 is out there is no point in calling it "edge". You could call 0.11 "edge", but I hope no one packages it, since the API is unstable. I guess (and hope) Debian uses proper naming schemes like they already do for projects such as GnuTLS: libuv-0.10 and libuv-0.12, or something along those lines.
