Yup, that is still the way, the git migration did not change anything to 
the libwpd sources and build system :)

You will need to have libtool, automake, autoconf and pkg-config 
installed on your system. Either from Darwin ports of Fink or built by 
yourself. That should allow you to simply run ./autogen.sh and then 
./configure. The sequence of modules is: 1) build libwpd and install; 2) 
build libwpg and install (libwpd is its only dependency) and the 3) 
build writerperfect and install.
