Hi,

I have been using licq for quite a long time now. What I have been
noticing from the very beginning of using licq is that the server side
contact list never really worked satisfactorily.

For instance, if I happen to use the web-based ICQ client from icq.org
(the java as well as the flash app), there won't all my contacts show
up I see in licq. They're just not there! I tried many times, with all
versions I've been using so far, saving my contacts by choosing the
corresponding action in the "user" menu. Didn't work, apparently.

Moreover, performing certain actions that would involve changing the
server side contact list will often (always?) fail, or - if the action
may be executed - at least give a warning message.

I could figure many people having similar problems, have you not?

Is there anything I can do about that? For this is the only reason I am
trying - from time to time :-) - other linux ICQ clients out. And I am
afraid they would make it, if those server side contact lists would
work with them completely. :-(

Regards,

René
