By "testing next patchset" i meant "search for new surprises that the
previewers and renderers will throw at us when presented with output from
new patchset, consider how predictable and/or painful those surprises are,
and decide if that's a better compromise than the previous one".
As for the money, considering how this issue affects our whole "digital
image" (ambiguity intended), it may be worth such an amount. But the
inconsistency of backends is regrettable anyway.
