I have seen comment #42 only after sending mine. I don't mind putting
extra effort into having a working way of entering unusual note lengths,
but it will take time.
BTW since comment #20 I was also thinking about using beaming information
to resolve, say, whole bar notes in 5/8 time: a8*5 into a4. ~ a4 (and
extending beaming information to make it work in 5/4 too).
