There is no documentation for LeftEdge other than its definition in
http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/internals/leftedge
Its purpose is to serve as way to reference the left edge of the system for
purposes of spacing prefatory items at the beginning of each line, so it
has a conceptual horizontal position, but no graphical representation.
Extending its undefined vertical extent with extra-spacing-height to block
lyrics from moving further left used to work, maybe by accident. It does
not hurt to define its vertical extent.
