I'll look once again for trouble and then push the reviewed patch. The
second half of the patch removes a problem with bar-numbers at the end of
lines.
The first half of the patch gives the invisible LeftEdge a point-extent,
which we don't really like. We might later reverse this part and ask
users who want spacing from a LeftEdge to give it an extent with an
override.
