I'm leaning towards backporting to 2.18.1. I don't think there were
complaints with this approach, and it will usually lead to the same results
(when no extra options are given) with the exception of generating bitmaps
at low resolution (150dpi or lower). In that case, strokeadjustment is
active, resulting in much more consistent stem widths at the price of, for
example, beams and stems not always being perfectly aligned.
