Regarding #5: reading the patch, you are quite right. From the discussion
and patch description, I should think that this is an error in execution
rather than the actual issue we are talking about. I cannot really imagine
Keith intended for people to _have_ to write things like
\key an\major or \chordmode { gn:maj7 }
and I cannot image a convert-ly rule that would have a reasonable chance at
a successful conversion of such a compulsory change for existing scores.
While such a compulsory change would, of course, invalidate the reasoning I
use in comment #3 against the issue overall, I am pretty sure that it would
rather create a stronger than a weaker opposition from existing users of
the English notename language.
Keith, can you clarify?
