Those are not as much "needs work" for the last iteration rather than "I'd
consider factoring this one thing out an improvement in legibility".
Which is more a matter of style than of substance. If Dan doesn't agree, I
don't think that should stop the progress of the patch. So I'm at least
cranking this back to review.
