I do indeed use Windows versions of git and git-cl, running under MinGW32.
They work smoothly without problem AFAICT. I seem to remember from years
ago discovering git does some fancy conversion behind the scenes to achieve
this. Presumably convert-ly doesn't. Can't remember the details at the
moment - I'll look into it.
