Well it fails in an in tree build as well (I just tested this). I am (as
you are probably aware) using -j7 with make. So it could be parallel make
issues.
Hosada-san has done some changes recently to the build stuff and the way we
handle ps files (from my limited understanding), maybe something there
introduced some anomaly?
I'll retry by changing the hash in the snippet but that will have to wait
for a bit as I head out to work.
