So in a nutshell: the build process currently relies on all snippet
translations using \epsfile being _verbatim_ identical to the English
snippet and copies the eps file in the process. That's pretty absurd.
For this issue to go forward, either this build system fluke needs to get
straightened out, or all translated snippets have to be made identical to
the English ones.
Preferably the former option.
