I doubt that this will be discernible on 1200dpi print-outs.
I was looking at the printed version -- from my Xant� AW 1200 (1200dpi) -- and I have to agree with you: there is no visible offset. I imagine it would be the same if I sent the PS directly to the offset printer (which I will be doing eventually)...
