i think that if we wish to get some useful results, we should not speak in
terms of "good" or "bad". rather, we should speak in terms of "this thing
works, this thing does not". eventually, we will probably get to the
subjective good/bad marking of features, but it will be a lot easier, and
less flamable, if we first start with "this thing does not work on this
distribution, because ..... to fix this, i needded to do .......".

another thing - each person should say what did not work on a distribution
they have _used_, and we should count the bad things initially e.g.:

- installation failed on machine with config X, i had to download a new
nerwork card driver to get it started.

- compiling this C program failed with gcc version X coming with
distribution Y, i had to download a gcc RPM of version Z and install it,
to get to compile this program.

- when i wanted to upgrade KDE to version Q, i had to do this and that,
and it took 4 days until it finally worked.

its easier to flame ourselves then to flame the enemy - cause when we
flame ourselves, we don't immediatly counter-flame ;)

after we have this, we _might_ be able to write a table of features, give
the _bad_ marks to the various distros accordingly, and then try to see
which would be more suitable for:

- Michal'angelo - an artist, doesn't know how to mess with computers, but
  paints wonderfull mona lisas.

- MoneyBe - a computer science student. can program, needs to, doesn't
know much about system administration, and not sure if he wants to
  learn.

- Shitabelo - an eternal student, programs often, likes to install his
beloved software from source or RPMs to get them tweaked.

- Masushito - works on a computer at work, does not have a root password,
and has a lousy sys admin that takes 3 month to install a bugfix for
  a crucial package.

- Yamamoto - works in a different department, where the sys admin is
responsive, and handles upgrades and package updates and installs in
less then a day - sometimes on the spot - sometimes, thanks to their
ESP abilities - before the need is brought up.

- muli.
