Hi Tyler,

Thanks for the inputs.

Can you also please confirm what existing 32-bit model variants are supported
in LAVA? We want to pipe-clean our setup with 32-bit variants before moving to
64-bit.

Thanks

Hi Basil,

The production manifest has been updated, if you upgrade your server(s) you
will pick up the new fastmodel changes.

* Make sure you have the latest linaro-image-tools installed on all servers
(2013.09)

*
https://github.com/EmbeddedAndroid/salt/tree/master/lava/devices/lava-worker-1/production
 - These are the device configurations I am using for reference.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Hi Tyler/Alan,

Just to confirm. Dean has upgraded the deployment mode to git based repo rather
than bzr repo.

Excellent news!

It seems to have gone well except for one issue where we found abd installation
affected and had to reinstall adb again after the upgrade.

So once you are ready from your end we are good to pick up your changes for
64bit basemodel support.

Here is the patchset, it has been tested. Awaiting final code review:

Hi Tyler,

Dean confirmed that he will try on our staging area from the git source. We are
still on bzr so far.

Thanks

Hi Basil,

Is your local LAVA server still using bzr? I ask because we have recently moved
all the LAVA code to git. If you have not made the switch you will want to
fetch our deployment tool from git.

git clone http://staging.git.linaro.org/git/lava/lava-deployment-tool.git

cd lava-deployment-tool

./lava-deployment-tool setup

./lava-deployment-tool upgrade <instance>

Hi Alan,

Cool. Yes I am aware of the 2 week activity for this LAVA integration. I wanted
to align ourselves in timeline with your upcoming release. Thanks a lot for the
clarifications.

Do let us know when it is good for us to pick up.

Thanks

Hello Basil;

That is the correct card, You'll want to contact
[email protected]/Kanta<http://[email protected]/Kanta> if you can't see them, From
my end, as long as you are logged in, you should be able to see them.

The models are not yet available in production LAVA, we didn't receive them
until after they were released, so we are now working to incorporate them.
Kanta has us down for a few weeks on her schedule, have you seen this? The
optimist in me says things will go much quicker, but we have encountered a few
differences already that we are still working on. Right now we have the new
models 'working', but we are working on a few regressions before we'll be ready
to release this. Shouldn't be long...

You can see the early progress here.

Hi Dave,

I am hoping that probably you might be working on this ticket
https://cards.linaro.org/browse/CARD-832 (got from Kanta, although I get
permission denied when accessing the card), if not please anyone in the wider
validation email group please redirect me appropriately.

With 13.09 we do have the new Base model variants released and with the above
ticket we expect to have LAVA support for these models also.

Since we do have a local LAVA instance, I would like to figure out how we can
pick the upgrades and apply to our local instance. Could anyone please advice
when we could expect this upgrade to LAVA for supporting 64-bit base models,
coming our way?

I want to get Dean a heads-up in terms of his plan to get our setup upgraded.

Thanks

Basil Eljuse…
