Installed a Hauppauge WinTV-GO tuner card recently.
Using xawtv with it, and no trouble encountered with
what features that provides--capturing jpeg stills, AVI
clips. What it doesn't provide is a command to record
audio alone, and I'd like to pull a WAV/AIFF-file from
a VCR tape toward using BladeEnc to create an mp3.
The Hauppage card just cables into line-in on the sound
card--this shouldn't be too complicated, on the other
hand, I haven't any experience with sound recording.
I gave wavrec a whirl--really don't favor command line
interface for this purpose, but in failing to work, it did
report that /dev/dsp is kept busy by xawtv. Any advice?
