At last night’s Select Board meeting, we learned that the composting program at 
the Transfer Station is reducing the amount of solid waste we generate by many 
tons. In addition to the environmental benefits, every ton that doesn’t go into 
the trash stream saves the town money.

Also, currently we recycle a little more than 40% of what is allowed to be 
recycled.
