This isn an interesting project and raises the tension between respect for
historic settings and what is perceived as important for public safety.
Lincoln has always resisted traffic lights and flashing crossing lights in our
own town.
Yet we find it appropriate for one of the most historical sites in our
country-The Battle Road-of which we are charged to be stewards.
How many lights and crossing are critical to public safety and will serve
MinuteMan National Historical Park?
How many would we advocate for in our historic center and throughout town?

This should be an interesting discussion.
