I second the Merlin app. It’s been great fun this summer knowing what birds we have been listening to while enjoying our time outside.

Ive got some bird calling outside my house every night in the past weeks. It sounds like an ascending raspy slide whistle. I would have thought screech owl but it doesn’t sound quite right and I thought their call was descending?
