I am saddened to see you characterize my concerns this way. I have at no
point publicly stated my support for or against this proposal.

What I have done is voice concerns regarding this proposal being spun to be
more beneficial than it truly is, in at attempt to win votes; voice
concerns about unrealistic fear mongering tactics being used to win votes;
and voice concerns about tax payer funded resources being used to promote
multiple private party’s interests (again.)

All of these things are not normal. They are not tactics used by our
neighboring towns, and they shouldn’t be used in our town either. The only
way to fix it, is to call attention to it.

I would be a lot more apt to support this proposal if the facts were
presented as facts, not “these are the facts and this is why you must
support this proposal otherwise XYZ unlikely bad things will happen”.

I would be more apt to support this proposal if the direct abutters were on
board, and not voicing their legitimate concerns with having a large
development in their back yards and the lack of transparency that they have
experienced thus far.

I would be more apt to support this proposal if taxpayer resources were not
being used to promote it by spreading mistruths and without any opposing
voice being given equal access to voice their concerns.

And you may say your reply to my concerns is from that of a private
citizen, but you also failed to mention your position as a trustee on the
RLF board, which seems quite relevant in a conversation about a proposal
that directly involves the RLF.

If I were in the RLF board members’ shoes and reading these valid concerns
from multiple parties, I would consider taking the worries communicated on
this forum to the RLF board and implementing changes. That would likely
gain much more support than attacking the people who will be voting on this
proposal, and the abutters who will be living right next to it.
