api ? with that u can check which version of quicktime u have right ?

Looking at the myxtras.com site doesn't turn up a myXtra, except for the 
page on custom Xtras. I can't find anything there about codecs. They do 
seem to do some useful Xtras, but searches on their site could be improved!

I'm also wondering about whether MPEG-2 playback would show up as a regular 
codec.
