MX2004 is great, and the scriptExecutionStyle is really effing amazing, but there are some things that have changed from MX to MX2004. the MIAW object is one of them.

(I'm not sure what the answer to your question is, sorry.)

Returning to a previous project -- done in Director MX -- I was surprised to run into a code problem in Director MX 2004. This project used an MIAW for some interface and navigation controls. When the MIAW is opened, it's windowType is set to a 1-bit mask in the cast to create a non-rectangular window on the screen. It worked fine in the previous version, but now balks at the windowType property for the MIAW. What am I missing?

Surely, the ability to create non-rectangular MIAW windows has not been deleted from the feature set in Director. Curiously, windowType is still recognized as a keywork in the script window (shows a green color) and passes the compile test. The error dialog appears at runtime. If windowType is not a valid property anymore, does anyone know how attaching a mask to a window can be implemented in DMX 2004?
